Fans fell in love with his dog Bullet and followed his relationship with then-girlfriend Dayna McLaughlin.

At the time, he struggled with addiction issues, but he’s now clean and is determined to try to help others avoid making the same mistakes he has.

And it has led him to try to launch a new career as an online influencer.

Marvin shared clips on TikTok which gives fans a glimpse into his new life, where he often uses his iconic catchphrase “Happy as Larry”.

And in a recent video, he teased his return to the scene of the show, and gave fans a tour around Onthank.

The TikTok account also revealed that he will soon be opening up about his life, and telling all about “the good, the bad and the ugly”.

I’m going to show yous where it all started off. The show showed us off to be idiots, but we’re not. We’re far from it

The clip shows Marvin walking about the estate with his new dog, and he reflects on his past as he says: “I’m going to show yous where it all started off”.

“The show showed us off to be idiots, but we’re not. We’re far from it.”

He adds: “Happy as Larry, couldn’t be happier”.

The clip is captioned: “Big Marv returns to the scheme.

“He is going to be taking you all on a trip around Onthank, he will be showing you all the places that were featured on the programme, we will be speaking with people as well as other residents of The Scheme.

“Marvin will be telling his story, from his childhood all the way up until the present day, and all the events in between… the good, the bad and the ugly.

“Thanks again to everyone who has been continuing to support… It really is making the big man ‘Happy as Larry’.”

Excited fans flocked to the comments to share their delight at the clip, with many praising the TV star for turning his life around over the last 15 years.

One person said: “Seems such a lovely, kind, positive guy! Keep going, big Marv, loads of us are rooting for you and are happy as Larry to see you succeeding.”

Another added: “You look great, Marvin! Massive respect, my husband and I have followed your journey from the start.”

Someone else wrote: “Love watching the scheme with my girlfriend. Gives us all a good laugh, man. Glad to hear you’re doing better, mate”.

While a fourth shared: “I actually rewatched the scheme today. What a turnaround you’ve made, you’re like a different man. Well done”.

Changed man

Marvin is now volunteering at a local centre and is trying to help others avoid going down the same path as him.

After turning 46 this month, he confessed he screwed up by spending so long hooked on drugs.

But followers praised him and told him he looks better now than he did on The Scheme after turning his life around.

He said his volunteer shifts, playing badminton and going cycling all played a vital role in changing his life.

He added: “Half my life I wasted. See if I had known life was this good 25 years ago, I would never have touched a drug.”

Marvin also recently revealed that he still has a soft spot for troubled Dayna during a live TikTok session.

He said: “There is no ill-feeling between me and Dayna whatsoever,

“We parted on pretty good terms. I made a promise to her mum that I would always look out for her.

“Anytime she needs me, I do what I can. Anything she needs within reason, I can help her.”

And a fifth chimed in: “This was my childhood watching The Scheme, brilliant to see you’re doing well Marvin, man, best of luck on ur journey mate”.

It comes just weeks after we revealed that Marvin rejected a telly comeback because the reality show almost got him killed three times.

He claimed there were repeated attempts on his life because rivals wrongly thought he’d made a fortune.

Marvin confessed he was never paid a penny for the Beeb series, and told how he was so soured by the experience that he’s refused cash offers to go back on-screen.

He said: “I’ve been asked to do a follow-up. They were offering to pay me good money. But no.

“I nearly got murdered three times. Just out of jealousy, they had nothing to be jealous of.

“These people thought for some reason that I was loaded. I’m still on benefits. Far from loaded. I don’t want to be loaded.”
